Ritske 202 Preferent is the patriarch of another KFPS stallion line. Ritske 202 P (Eelke 183 x Tieman 159) was born in 1955 and stood at 15.2h. Here, Ritske 202 P is pictured at the age of 3 in 1958 when he was Approved and at 21 years old.
Ritske 202 Preferent is the patriarch of another KFPS stallion line. Ritske 202 P (Eelke 183 x Tieman 159) was born in 1955 and stood at 15.2h. Here, Ritske 202 P is pictured at the age of 3 in 1958 when he was Approved and at 21 years old.Ritske 202 P had a profound impact on the breed, siring 10 Approved sons, no less than 1600 daughters- including 43 Model daughters. Two sons in particular, Mark 232 and Wessel 237 would go on to shape many future generations of Friesian horses. In the broader context, Ritske 202’s influence produced horses with good work ethic and temperament which would later help transform the KFPS breeding goal during the transition from using Friesian horses for light farm work to more recreational sports.
